What is Transformative Storytelling?
Transformative Storytelling is a unique methodology which centers intentionality and deep, meaningful connections developed through years of experience in storytelling, mediamaking and equitable frameworks and narrative shift work. Storytelling is a powerful way of sharing experiences and co-creating new realities. When you choose to craft and embody your story with purpose, you transform the way you communicate both internally and externally. Media is then used as a vehicle to amplify and deliver your story to educate, connect, raise resources, organize and elicit action.
Rooted in equity and justice, Media Sutra uses creativity to support the advancements of a variety of justice movements. Our work aims to center marginalized groups, highlight underrepresented communities and use art as a form of activism.
